Shark Attack: A Splashy Stonehill Tradition

Students made a splash on Stonehill’s campus with the annual tradition of Shark Attack this April. 

The annual event, reminiscent of the popular high school game "Senior Assassin," has students carrying water guns around, but with mini sharks that squirt water. 

The rules are simple. Each player is assigned a target, and the goal is to soak their target with the shark water toy. Once a player successfully eliminates their target, they can claim the defeated player's shark as their own. The competition heats up as players vie for the top three spots, awarded to those with the most captured sharks, to win a prize. 

Kelsey Connors, a first-time participant, said she enjoyed the event. 

"This is my first year playing, I wanted to sign up because it reminds me of Senior Assassin I played when I was a senior in high school. I think it’s a fun game that brings the community together because now I have to meet people that I have never met before." 

Another student, Claire Sawyer, said being outside added to the enjoyment. 

 "I signed up because it seems like a fun activity at the school and is something to do when it gets nice out."
