Stonehill students are struggling all around campus regarding the food that is being served. Campus dining workers have been trying to keep up with all the food orders during lunch and dinner time.
Students say Au Bon Pain and The Hill are messing up orders regularly and are getting frustrated.
I’m one of those students. I go to Au Bon Pain for lunch regularly. I order a turkey and cheese sandwich and it is made differently almost every time. Some days it has the right meat and cheese. On other days, two of the toppings I requested are different. I will have tomato and cucumber on my sandwich when I did not ask for it. Students go to pick up their food and rush in between classes to eat, then often discover their food is incorrect.
This could affect people who have allergies and can only eat specific things. When my order is messed up, there is no time in between classes to go and have them change it because the building is so busy. The workers have a job to look at what you order and do their best to make it how you ask for it.
It is frustrating when we spend money and take time out of our day to get a good meal and we can’t even get what we asked for even when they are providing us with these specific options.
Athletes and students who are hungry and miss dinner due to sporting events or late-night homework sessions must wait in line for almost 30-45 minutes at The Hill to get what they ordered, only to find out the order is wrong.
I have ordered vegetable quesadillas with cheese multiple times, and they come out plain and have nothing in it. I have ordered burgers with specific toppings, and instead, I got a plain burger.
Stonehill dining should not offer the variety of food they do if they can’t live up to their standards of giving students what they asked for.
Students deserve to have workers make them their correct order because students have the option to request specific sandwiches.
