Peter Ubertaccio returns to Stonehill College after he was named the interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, following the resignation of Provost, and Vice President for Academic Affairs DeBrenna Agbényiga in Nov. 2022.
“As the spring semester gets underway, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Ubertaccio as the interim Vice President for Academic Affairs, effective Monday, January 23,” President Fr. John Denning said in an email on January 17.
Ubertaccio worked at Stonehill for nearly 20 years before moving to Caldwell University in June 2021, Denning said in the email.
At Stonehill, Ubertaccio has previously held the positions of Dean of the May School of Arts and Sciences, Director of the Martin Institute, and Associate Professor of Political Science.
“I look forward to collaborating with him once again as we advance our shared goals of bolstering existing academic programs; creating new opportunities for you, our students, to unlock your full potential; and fostering meaningful dialogue with faculty and staff,” Denning said.
Ubertaccio will officially begin as interim Vice President for Academic Affairs on January 23.
