From game nights to farm stand adventures, Easter break brought together students and their families in meaningful and memorable ways.
For Arianna Campbell and William Bradley, the day was all about quality time at home. Both spent Easter surrounded by their moms, siblings, grandma, and other close family members.
After enjoying an Easter meal and some cake, they wound down with a lighthearted round of Wheel of Fortune on the PlayStation.
“It was chill and just what we needed,” said Campbell.
Bradley agreed, adding, “it’s nice to slow down and just hang out with family.”
Grace Smrek had a more eventful holiday back in her hometown of Long Island, where she spent the weekend with her boyfriend, Luis.
“The weather was so beautiful, we stopped at a little farm stand and walked through flower fields,” Smrek said. “They even had goats, and yes, we played with them.”
Easter Morning began with a trip to church, followed by a family egg hunt with a twist.
“My dog can open Easter eggs. He cracked open 10 before we even said go,” Smrek said.
The real standout moment came courtesy of her Italian aunt.
“She brings over fresh mozzarella balls every year and calls them ‘Easter eggs.’ It’s her tradition,” Smrek said.
Of course, as a true Long Islander, the morning wouldn’t be complete without bagels.
“Because, you know…New York bagels are the best around,” Smrek said.
Whether the break was spent around a game console or surrounded by spring flowers, Easter served as a reminder of the small joys that make time with loved ones so memorable.
