Cross Country dominates second race of season

By Emily Ciampa

The Stonehill Skyhawks started the season strong at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitation on September 6th, hosted by Bryant University.

The men’s team finished first place overall, led by Dylan Brilliant, Ryan Pereira, and Nicholas Davies, who swept the top three spots in the men’s 5K. With eight runners in the top 10, helping the team achieve a near perfect score of 17.

On the women’s side, the Skyhawks ranked in third place overall. Seniors Emily Young and Jordan Malloy lead the way inside of the top 10, while freshman Isabella Galusha placed 20th - making her one of the top freshman performances at the meet.

The Skyhawks are looking to bring this energy into their upcoming invitational at UMass Dartmouth on Saturday, September 20th.
